Frank Harper is a self-taught artist who came to serious painting late in life after a full career in the British army. 

After retiring Frank attended several water colour classes on the Ilse of Wight in the UK where he was living before immigrating to Canada. He now lives in Renfrew ON, with his wife Pat and is an active member of the Renfrew Art Guild.

Frank started painting in water colours, and then began exploring acrylics on canvas. Frank’s subjects include landscapes and abstracts and his use of colour, light, and movement are a lively reflection of his open style

In recent years Frank has added wood carving to his bag, in particular carving Cotton Wood Bark.

Frank has work in private collections in UK, Europe, Honk Kong, USA and Canada.
