Kat is a Valley gal from a military family who pursued adventures outside the country before returning home. She studied at Boston University's digital arts program and ran a successful children's portrait studio for over a decade. Her visual work has appeared in more than a dozen books and publications, and has been exhibited in places as diverse as the Maryland State House, to Walter Reed Medical Center, and small local art venues. 

Watercolour and acrylic are her mediums of choice, her work in both mediums is characterized by rich, vibrant colour choice. For this Gala Kat is painting to the theme of "Inside Out/ Outside In", exploring texture and depth.
